Celebrating New Year’s Eve at the Galactia Ecstasy

Happy New Year shapeshifter lovers!

Here's a flash scene I wrote several years ago. This year Shestry and  Drauz—now a couple who often roam the galaxy—will be celebrating at the Midnight Stardust Supperclub, located in Dante's Interspecies Pleasure Club.

~~~~~~
New Year’s Eve at the Galactia Ecstasy
The nearly backless gown of heavy satin flowed over Shestry’s body in long elegant lines. Feeling extraordinarily beautiful, she languidly arranged herself in front of the full length mirror. Her curves appeared to be streamlined by her evening gown, the  rich deep color of burnt gold.
She smiled with sheer sensual enjoyment at her reflection.
“Sis, hoop-di-doo, you’re going to drive the gents c-r-a-z-y over the moon.”
Entering her lavish dressing room with his usual flair, Jaxter sauntered to his favorite lounge chair and settled himself.
“I’ll be thrilled with good dancing partners, if you must know. I’m not going as part of  the cattle call to be some man’s wife. Or is that the ‘heifer call’ market? Regardless, you men can keep to your own lives and leave me out of them for a good while.” Moving toward her brother, Shestry swept up her glitter evening bag. “Is Alexa waiting for you at the supper club?”
“She’ll be swinging into my arms once we arrive. I just gave her the tinkle and heard her sweet voice.” Jaxter held up his wrist phone, his grin one of ‘let’s go make merry’.
“What’s the latest on the parents?” Shestry gave her fancy upswept hairdo a final pat, then let the natural sway of her body take over as she walked toward her personal portal.
“They’re going to let us kiddies play and dance the night away. They’re planning to join us an hour before midnight, sweets.” Rising with athletic grace, Jaxter adjusted his tux’s black silk bowtie, then followed after her.
In moments, they stood inside the welcoming foyer of the Galactia Ecstasy, a supper club arching high above one of their world’s largest cities. The posh glimmer of furnishings, in shades of amber, surrounded them as they glided toward the immense, bowl-shaped room that was composed of a central dance floor and two upper levels for dining, partying and viewing.
“Jaxter!”
Alexa’s excited squeal penetrated the celebratory atmosphere with arrow-like ease. The petite brunette, who owned a doll’s perfect figure, flew inside her brother’s open arm. Shrugging adorably and flirtatiously, she tilted her head all the way back, and smiled without an ounce of pretense at him. Her eyes glowed with intimacy. Alexa closed them, pursing her brilliant red lips for his kiss.
Jaxter obliged for several instants, then wrapped her close against his side. “See ya later, sis. That gleaming dance floor is pulling on the soles of our shoes like magnetic plasma.”
Shestry fondly gazed at them both and gave a nod. “Greetings, Alexa. See you two much later.”
Free to pursue her own evening delights, Shestry pivoted toward the second level entrance. Straightening her shoulders, she held her head high and let the gown’s design have its way with her walking stride with what she called her ‘elegant slink’.
***
Drauz halted in his tracks. He’d been seized in the same way the gravitational pull of a sun captured his galactic ship, an occasional problem. Only his gaze continued to move, following the gorgeous woman, as she swayed like a breeze-blown reed toward the exquisitely appointed ramp, that led up to the second level dining area.
The sumptuously curved, yet slender beauty with hair the color of gold, bronze and rubies combined, obviously belonged to this world. Still, she hitched his cock to a full-standing salute, despite having satiated himself with several women during the past few days.
Surprised by the power she wielded over him, Drauz swiftly stepped behind a splendid drape that sectioned off a gentlemen’s lounge. Glancing over his shoulder, he was relieved to see no one was about. Already his hand transformed to beast claws.
His desire for the woman had catapulted his sex hormones so fiercely and so fast, his body threatened to shift into his most primal nature. He was known as a Dragonlion on his world.
Slipping the tiny vial out of his pocket with his un-transformed hand, Drauz tipped it up and drained its contents. The natural potion would tamp down his libido, for now. As quickly as it had occurred, his beast claws disappeared and his hand returned.
Without thought he trailed after the woman, his predator instincts fully engaged. Her fragrance enchanted him, reminding him of the most potent and delectable spices. The moment he caught sight of her, close to an empty dining table, he strode in her direction.
She stood alone, casually leaning on the translucent rail, enjoying the dancers below. The extreme roundness of her ass was displayed to carnal perfection by the high sheen of the gown she wore. Drauz licked his chops and told his beastly cock to behave in a gentlemanly fashion.
He could tell by the feminine language of her body and by her scent, she expected a man to woo and win her with more than his exceptional prowess between her thighs. A low roar of need rumbled up from the core of his being. He didn’t let it out.
“Who are you?” she asked without turning around. Intentionally, she kept her posture dismissive and her gaze riveted on the dazzling whirl of dancers.
“The man who is about to plead for a dance, once your favored piece of music begins.”
She spun around then, and their gazes collided. His breath rushed inward, as did hers. Reaching back, she steadied herself by clutching the rail. Drauz knew it would be a mistake to touch her yet. He forced himself not to sweep her against him as both an act of passion and protection.
***
Ignoring her ridiculous pants of breath, Shestry stared into the black-golden eyes of a Magollov, a race she knew little about, that is, except the obvious. His stature was larger, his frame more muscular than the men of her world. The deep brown-gold coloring of his suede-like skin subtly glowed. His furred lion ears pricked forward with sexual interest. Though, he’d kept his long tasseled tail discreetly behind him.
‘Lovely, aristocratic mane you have’... those were the words that wanted to fly past her lips. Instead, Shestry spoke her second thoughts. “Are you able to dance with any manner of competence, and perhaps, a dash of style?”
A glint of amusement transformed his gaze from bold intensity to a wicked playfulness that appealed to her. “Should I demonstrate with another partner? Or will you trust my word?”
Shestry tilted her head, all too aware of his hypnotizing gaze, and all too aware that she sizzled as a woman inside. “Will I require another partner? Or do you posses the stamina to dance all night?”
“My stamina is yours for this New Year’s celebration.” His gaze roamed over her face, devouring every detail. Her nipples tightened when he briefly dipped his gaze to the swells of her breasts, revealed by the gown’s v-plunging neckline. “Shall I order us a sustaining platter of delicacies and a bottle of bubbly? Your preference, of course.”
“You are an adventure I would like to taste. Prove your worth on the dance floor and I am yours for this New Year’s celebration.”
***
She promised him nothing, not even her name. She offered only her devoted company for her world’s night of elegant revelry. Drauz knew that. He didn’t care. He’d keep his needs tamed for her. This woman with eyes like far-away, beckoning blue stars. With lips that invited his plunder. With pale golden skin that demanded the rough arousing strokes of his tongue.
He presented his arm. “But dance with me, and my worth I shall prove.”
***
Feeling as sensual as the satin of her gown, and as molten as the color, Shestry placed her hand on the Magollov’s handsomely carved arm. One night of dancing surrounded by the crystalline fantasy of the supper club, with a man who didn’t belong to her world, a man who could never belong to her. Why not ferociously enjoy?
With suave attentiveness, he escorted her toward the long spiraling ramp, and they moved downward. It was as if she tread on air. “May I feel the caress of your tail tassel on my face when we dance?”
Dyntr, wolf shifter and a former high plains drifter...
Happy New Year Howls and Yowls, Shapeshifter Lovers.
Say goodbye to 2015! Yep, the year was almost a whirlwind. And likely 2016 will be the same, as far as this 'quickening' speed.
Once again, it took me all day to write this flash scene. As usual, just too many interruptions. Anyway, Kazsmere and Dyntr are two new characters in Wolf Peak Territory.  Maybe, they'll be celebrating the New Year together. ~smiles~
~~~~~~

Dyntr, wolf shifter and a former high plains drifter...

"No!" Kazsmere wailed. Her heart thumped in that way when she knew something horrible had just happened—a feeling she was all too familiar with in her short life.

Panic fueled her, and she running-crunched through the near foot of snow, toward the bent-trunk pine tree. He lay on his side, his body freezing in the close to zero temps.

Kazsmere fell to her knees immediately. She wrapped her arms around his beautiful fur body, hugging him close. He was dead. She felt it, knew it.

His breath of life was gone.

Hadn't he told her his time had come? Over the past several months, he'd embraced her in his fatherly manner, saying, "It's a good day to die."

Even so, the terrible sting of his passing to the Great Beyond cut through Kazsmere, a merciless knife. She wept, her tears a downpour...so fast they didn't freeze on her cheeks.

Wind Cloud, her wolf in man and animal form, had been her mentor, her companion since her escape from the shadow-gov compound. Some five years ago.

They'd been on the run for three of those years, until finding Talbot Peak territory...now, as she understood it, Wolf Peak Territory. For two years, not quite trusting anyone—and not wanting to endanger anyone with those who hunted them—the two of them lived in a huge, dugout lair.

Rarely interacting with anyone in town or at the Pleasure Club compound, they'd managed on their own, living comfortably enough. Now...she didn't care. Kazsmere wanted her precious friend back. Selfishly, she wanted him back in his body.

She hugged his lifeless form tighter. More tears rained down her cheeks.

'Little One,' she heard. 'I cannot return. My time on Mother Earth is finished.' Kazsmere felt his spirit hand on her shoulder, comforting her. 'You will be protected. I promise.'

'No,' she screamed in her mind. 'Please, come back...please... I love you... please..."

Still, knowing it was not to be—her heart cracking in two—Kazsmere gently laid Wind Cloud's wolf body onto its bed of snow. She knew he'd chosen this old, bent, but proud-limbed tree. Heavy with pine needles, and inches of snow...yet, Wind Cloud had placed himself where she could easily see him. So she would know how and why he'd gone to his spirit home.

God! The pain was a giant razor slicing through her.

****

Dyntr, wolf shifter and a former high plains drifter, loped over the area of Wolf Peak Territory he regularly patrolled for Dante. They'd come to a quick arrangement when he'd first arrived, several winters past—that was, a large, comfortably outfitted cabin and his rooms inside the Pleasure Club's survival wing, known as Bunkerville—in trade for his eyes and wolf-nose surveillance, his regular reports about who came and went, and how well the land and wildlife fared.

So far, he'd faithfully kept his side of the bargain, and intended to keep doing so. After all, the rewards had him howling with glee. He'd also made steadfast friends with several of those who were loyal to Dante.

With his nose fully operational, it took Dyntr only minutes to find the woman he'd promised Dante to watch over. This, despite her protector wolfman.

What was she doing out in these frigid-to-the-bone temps?

Dyntr soon discovered why. She knelt, holding Wind Cloud's corpse. The smell of her tears flooded his nostrils, and touched his heart deeply.

He crept closer, his footfalls almost silent. The woman was a raving beauty. But he'd kept his distance, well knowing her distrust of anyone and everyone. And there'd been the fact that she and the shaman wolf shifter wanted to be left alone.

Given his preference for hermit-like privacy, and his preference for lots of dang breathing room, Dyntr respected that choice.

Now... she needed someone. And he was just the wolf for the job, not withstanding his word to Dante.

Dyntr altered his course, circling so she would have a clear view of his slow, non-aggressive approach. What he did know about Kazsmere, she possessed wolf shifter blood, and had been learning how to morph.

When Dante asked him to watch over Kazsmere, he'd revealed she'd been a captive of a secret nefarious group, but escaped with the help of an infiltrator, a shifter he knew personally, who was a private mercenary, and on another mission.

At the time of her capture, Kazsmere hadn't known her mother had been impregnated with a wolfman's sperm. That as his daughter, she'd been under constant surveillance, and ultimately retrieved by the sinister, gene-manipulating lab.

Dyntr lowered his head the moment she spotted him. He moved even more slowly.

"I know you." She spoke in a teary voice, sniffling. "Wind Cloud..." she glanced at his body, now lying on the blanket of snow, "he said you lived near us...that you were part of Dante's patrol team."

Dyntr sat on his rump, and gave an affirming nod. Given he'd be bare-ass naked if he shifted, he remained as wolf.

His gaze steady on her, Dyntr looked for a sign as to what he should do next. He wasn't leaving Kazsmere out here by herself. No sirreee. .

Unexpected by him, that was for damn certain, she opened her arms wide. "Please, can I give you a hug? I—I...you're a handsome wolf...I—I would love to hug you."

Before he knew his legs were moving, Dyntr walked into her arms. She hugged him fully, without reserve, and he couldn't help but feel her natural love of wolves.

In moments, Dyntr heard her choking sobs. She wept hard, clinging to him as her body jerked with her grief.

Once her tears ended, and she simply held onto him, her fists balled in his coat,  Dyntr leaned back. He licked her face.

"He's gone," she murmured. "I mean he's physically gone. I still feel him...in, in the spirit world."

Dyntr nodded his head against her cheek to let her know he understood.

"What now?" she asked mournfully. Letting go of him, she sat back on her heels. "I know Wind Cloud wants to leave his body here, let Mother Nature have final say over him."

Dyntr watched her stand. Shakily, she straightened. "I have to go back, take care of the fire."

Knowing Dante would understand, would approve, Dyntr moved beside Kazsmere as if he were now her companion wolf. With a single sob, she sunk her gloved hand into his neck ruff, and they moved together toward her lair.

"Thanks, thanks, for walking me back." She paused. "Dyntr is your name, right?"

He brushed his head against her leg letting Kazsmere know that was his name.

"I heard in town...they called you a cowboy drifter...that you resemble Clint Eastwood, when he was younger. True?"

Again, Dyntr touched her leg with his head. Clint Eastwood, the actor? Well heck, no skin off his hide, if she believed that. At least, not for now.

Later she could tell him if he looked like Mr Make My Day.

The most important matter was to get Kazsmere back home, make certain she was safe, cared for.

He'd contact Dante, let him or one of his pack know the situation.

"I'll bet we could communicate mind to mind...if we try. You know, I'm part wolf shapeshifter."

Dyntr grinned, his wolf lips curling upward. Was his dream of having a beautiful mate, one who wanted to share his wild forest lifestyle about to come true?

If the Great Wolf One was kind...

...my miracle Santa stud...

Christmas Eve Scene In Wolf Peak Territory

~~~~~~
Here's a sexy takeoff on the traditional NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS poem, which I wrote several years ago. It's become popular at the Interspecies Pleasure Club, where fantasy and reality passionately meet.
~~~

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through my home
Only I was stirring, to pen my romance tome.
My best black silk stockings were hung, ready to wear,
In hopes, my miracle Santa stud would soon be here.

The pets are nestled all snug in their places,
With visions of holiday treats making them run dream races.
Their mamma has just slipped into her red lace teddy,
And is settling her brains to continue writing her fantasy.

When out on the lawn I hear such a loud clatter,
I spring up from my desk to see what is the matter.
Away to the window I trot in my boa-trimmed slippers
To take a peek through the curtains. Oh no, is that drunk Mrs. Kippers?

The full moon shines on icy slush, instead of new-fallen snow
Giving a natural spotlight to celebrating Mrs. Kippers below.
Yet, what to my wondering gaze does appear?
But an old-fashioned sleigh, and eight majestic reindeer.

With a Viking driver, so handsomely tall and magnificent,
I knew in a moment I must be dreaming this whole event.
More rapid than jets, his stags flew the midnight sky untamed,
His long mane blew wild as he shouted, and called them by name!

"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! soar on Donner and Blitzen!
Fly to the top of each roof! Above the city walls!
Now race higher and faster! And sail over all!"

As autumn leaves that before the approaching blizzard fly,
When they meet with a whirlwind and spiral to the sky.
So up to my rooftop, the brown and white stags they flew,
With a sleigh full of glittering gifts, and Viking Santa too.

And then, after a blinking of my eyes, I heard on the roof
The precise landing, then the pawing of each jingle-belled hoof.
As I drew in my dreaming head, and spun around,
Down my fake chimney the Viking arrived, with an impressive bound.

He was splendidly dressed in red and faux fur, down to his boots,
And his garments remained perfect, despite all the ashes and soot.
A bundle of shiny presents he had flung behind his back,
And he looked like a romantic hero as he dashingly opened his pack.

His darkening eyes, how they naughtily twinkled! And at his dimples I gawk!
His features are sternly carved, reminding me of a beautiful proud hawk!
His full sexy mouth slowly turns upwards, a knowing grin,
As I continue to stare like a vixen at his strong virile chin.

With a saunter he approaches, making me weak in the knees.
His searing gaze travels the length of my body. And I freeze.
Without a word his powerful arm captures my pliant waist.
Crushing the lace against my skin, he has me tightly embraced.

Oh, how stalwart he feels, his muscles like hot heated ropes
And I sigh, then softly pant as I give free reign to my hopes.
His half-lidded gaze takes in my face, then settles on my parted lips
While his palms slide in a caress and boldly seize my hips.

“Oh, Santa,” I softly exhale, before his mouth claims mine in a torrid kiss.
“Wear those black silk stockings,” he rasps. “I promise bliss
When I return from leaving presents beneath every sparkling tree.”
After plundering my eager mouth with another kiss, he spins from me.

I hear him spring to his sleigh, to his stags give a fierce long shout,
Then, from my window I watch them depart like a meteor flaming out.
Still, I hear him exclaim, as he disappears from my sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to my gorgeous woman, leave on the light!"

We Three Wolf Kings... The Return...

Christmas Holiday Greeting howls and yowls, shapeshifter lovers.

These lyrics were originally written in honor of the Winter Solstice Stargate on December 21, 2012.

Now the lyrics have been revised for the current Christmas season... For, the Three Wolf Kings have returned to celebrate with all those living in Wolf Peak Territory.

~~~~~~
We Three Wolf Kings of Ages Are
We three wolf kings of ages are
Bringing our spirit gifts, we travel afar
Fields and forests, rivers and mountains,
Following the portal star
Oh Stargate of wonder, Oh Christmas night
Above the stars shine with beauty bright
Westward running, still misty panting
We race toward Wolf Peak's light
Born another King on winter forest lane
Hearts of gold and courage we bring to love Him again
Our Wolf King forever, ceasing never
Together we will know peace and reign
Oh Stargate of wonder, Oh Christmas night
Above the stars shine with beauty bright
Westward running, still misty panting
We race toward Wolf Peak's light
Ancient wisdom to offer have we
The winter moon among sacred trees
Howling and praising, all wolf packs singing
To the Great Spirit so high and free
Oh Stargate of wonder, Oh Christmas night
Above the stars shine with beauty bright
Westward running, still misty panting
We race toward Wolf Peak's light
Oh mystic star, portal light bridging doom
Breathe in new life beyond the gloom
Our souls raising, our songs to the moon winging
Glory night, we scent Mother Nature's pine perfume
Oh Stargate of wonder, Oh Christmas night
Above the stars shine with beauty bright
Westward running, still misty panting
We race toward Wolf Peak's light
Now behold the Christmas miracle arise
Wolf Kings, our Queens, ends our earthly compromise
Notes glorious, Awoooo! Awoooo! Awoooo!
To the celestial majesty we sing sacred replies
Oh Stargate of wonder, Oh Christmas night
Above the stars shine with beauty bright
Westward running, still misty panting
We race toward Wolf Peak's light
In the spirit of the season...
Merry Christmas and Happy Howlidays, shapeshifter lovers.
Gosh, what a busy-busy day. Hence my flash scene has been delayed. This week stars White Fang Khent, ace crime reporter. He was my very first character in Talbot Peak. Because, at the time, someone had to rescue Kitty [Dante's beloved mate].
One of these days, I may even get to finish White Fang and Pasha's erotic love story. Yes, a lot of their story is already written.
ONCE AGAIN: Every soul, shifter and supernatural, wishes you and yours the merriest and most miraculous of holidays.
~~~~~~

In the spirit of the season...

In the spirit of the season, White Fang Khent, super wolf shifter and ace reporter, hung the festive holly wreathe on the front door of the Moonrise Daily Tribune, a quaint, two storey building with tall, white-framed windows. He and Night Runner, another super wolf from his homeworld of Syxxrion, had used their flash-speed to put up the red-brick structure, nearly overnight. That is, after carefully studying the blueprints supplied by the architects on Dante's staff.

As he and Pasha stood together, gazing at the bronze plaque above the white, wooden, double doors, she squeezed his arm lovingly. "Moonrise Daily Tribune," his Egyptian cat goddess purred. "I would never have believed I'd find this simple town lifestyle quite appealing."

"Quite appealing. I share your thoughts about our little town." White Fang stroked his lover's arm. "There's a sense of freedom here, Pasha. I don't have to hide who I am. Not anymore."

"Yes, I know." The soft depth of Pasha's voice arrowed straight into his heart. "I am freer to be myself. With my powers it has never been easy. I believe I am even beginning to appreciate the snowflakes swirling around us."

Even though the Montana winter wickedly snarled and howled around them, the farm town Dante purchased—then christened Moonrise Lake—had quickly grown in population and buildings. Given recent snowstorms had dumped a couple of feet of the white stuff, he and Pasha bundled up—coats, hats, boots, gloves.

Then, for the romping-joy of it, they'd tromped through the snow, touring the idyllic American town. After all, not many in town owned the time or energy to shovel off the sidewalks. Not yet.

Yet Christmas holiday lights and decorations cheerily graced the shops and homes. A troupe of teen shifters/supernaturals had enthusiastically offered to string the red, green, and white lights. With the assistance of the ram firefighters, Zerlo and Dilesco, the teens put up the tiny bright lights. Afterward, they caroled popular holiday songs before the town square's Christmas tree. Of course, they'd been rewarded with hot apple cider, hot chocolate, and holiday cookies.

"Here we go. Let's go inside." White Fang turned the brass handle, opening the door. Lit by winter's noon sun, the gleaming wood interior installed by Dante's team of builders, greeted him and Pasha.

Soon equipment and furnishings would fill the building. Also, a tunnel from the Pleasure Club complex would be constructed.

Once the notice went out that there'd be a town paper, dog-rabid interest ensued. Interviewing for editors, reporters, an office crew, had taken much of White Fang's time the last several days.

As they strolled from room to room, his beautiful Pasha hugged his arm. "I never felt like I belonged in Talbot Peak, as accepting as many were," she confided. "Truth, my handsome beast," her tone turned solemn, "since the glory days of Egypt I've never felt I belonged anywhere on Earth. Now...I–I...this is beginning to feel like home. A real home."

White Fang halted, facing his woman. He beheld Pasha's exotic lovely face, looked into her jewel-blazing eyes. "You belong in my arms," he rumbled passionately.

"I belong in your arms," she softly returned. Passion caused her gaze to become half-lidded.

Their gazes melted into one another, and White Fang witnessed her fiery fierce love for him deep within her eyes. Over the years, he'd done all in his power as a man to stoke those flames of love. From Pasha's first seduction of him, their passion ignited like wildfire, an unstoppable roaring wildfire neither one of them wanted to put out.

Yet, he'd wanted her well-guarded heart as well.

"Country home or an apartment close to town?" he asked tenderly.

Pasha frowned slightly. "You gave up the apartment in Talbot Peak long ago...why?..."

"You know I'll have to be the paw/hand behind the scenes at the paper. At least, for a time." White Fang enfolded her hand, gently squeezing. "No," he answered her look of concern, "I would never give up our suite at the Pleasure Club. Never."

"What about the tunnel, my ace reporter? Not that I—"

"Won't be built until Spring. Besides, I'm thinking, my Pasha, that a home will give us a closer connection to the townsfolk."

"Do you mean as in trusting you with news tips?"

Adoring her phrasing and accent, White Fang kissed the tip of Pasha's nose. He gave a short nod. "That, and folks trusting me, and therefore trusting the newspaper."

"You want to keep a muckraker nose and eye out too, don't you?" Smiling, she arched a brow.

"Can't let ourselves be infiltrated by state bureaucrats, or any enemy group." White Fang drew his Pasha close, and she rested her cheek against his chest.

"I could monitor the gossip in town," she offered. "Although my social skills are lacking in this culture."

"You'll learn." White Fang spoke tenderly. "You didn't answer my question, beloved Pasha. Would you prefer to live in town..."

"Country home," she interrupted, her voice an eager purr. "However, you must agree to allow my decorating skills."

"I wouldn't have it any other way, darling."  White Fang embraced his cat goddess, and rocked her. "You have final say over the house's design. I promise."

"When you promise, handsome, it's gold." Pasha cupped his face between her gloved hands. Love sparkled her eyes.

White Fang covered her hands with his. Love coursed through him, blazing, an inferno that spilled from his heart. "We have an appointment at Kalindi's shop for her special hot chocolate."

"We do?" Pasha lilted, her tone teasing.

"We do. We have house plans to look over."

Pasha raised on tiptoe throwing her arms around his neck. Their kiss should have burned down the Moonrise Daily Tribune. Before the newspaper even launched.

On the Hunt For Gifts

Tracking the Christmas Holiday Package ... A New Winter Game For Those Who Live In Wolf Peak Territory

~~~~~~
Authoress news and mews ~
The Kougar is about half way through Chapter Fifty of her  WIP, WAITING FOR A FILLY GIRL... Yeah, she keeps getting interrupted. Anyway, Drev, the hero, has just seen his heroine, Keina's winged horse parents as they land in the King's courtyard... and he's only wearing rags... yeah, stay tuned.
Here's a little SNIPPET: "Stud man, it's okay," his filly girl soothed. She cupped his shoulder, and the  touch of her hand reassured him. "Meet the parents."
In a majestic sweep of their wings, the two Pegasus halted their momentum. Having landed at the far end of the courtyard, the two folded their white-feather, golden-tipped wings. In concert, they gazed over the courtyard, quickly focusing on their daughter.
Keina's sire, by his studly size, was similar in coloring, but massively muscled, and reminded Drev of the Lipizanner breed of horse. While her petite dam strongly resembled his Keina. The beautiful mare's coat glowed, a golden caramel color beneath—Drev glanced skyward—a deep yellow sun.
"They're gorgeous," Drev stage-whispered to Keina.
Goodbye, Gone with wild sweep of the winds...
Merry Christmas and Happy Howlidays, shapeshifter lovers.
In this flash scene, Dante and Kitty, move forward in their lives. The time has come to say the final goodbye to Talbot Peak...to begin a new chapter of their lives in Wolf Peak Territory...to build their small town of Moonrise, Montana.
Every soul, shifter and supernatural, wishes you and yours the merriest and most miraculous of holidays.
~~~~~~

Goodbye, Gone with wild sweep of the winds...

From his underground tunnel Dante, alpha werewolf, took a last look at the basement room beneath the Talbot Peak library. Silently, he woofed 'goodbye' to the shifter/supernaturals' town—to all those he once cared deeply about. Including Mayor Gilbert, and the mayor's pal, Chewie, the rat shifter from New York City.

The unfortunate situation Gilbert, the white were-squirrel, had caused was like a fur hunter's steel-spring trap. Dante didn't intend to be cruelly trapped. He didn't intend to allow all those he loved, those who remained loyal to him, to be captured or assassinated by any number of diabolical enemies—enemies from across the planet.

Already Talbot Peak crawled with undercover agents from various, super secret organizations. Yeah, howls from hell, cryptid hunters, monster hunters, and avid paranormal investigators, arrived daily.

There'd been no way for his cyber team to stop the viral communication exposing Talbot Peak, especially on the dark net. And scat dammit, the town's computers were under constant hack attacks—from the amateur who simply wanted info about shapeshifters to the shadowy groups whose mission was to murder every living shifter.

Dante growled mentally, savagely. He'd recently sent his own covert team into Talbot Peak to keep an eye on the unfolding deadly nightmare. As humans, they were likely to be ignored,  even with their super psychic powers.

A mix of fierce emotions raced through Dante as he closed the tunnel's round, ten-foot titanum door. Sadness, disappointment, regret, fury—compassion for the innocent who stayed blind, and pity for those who believed the establishment cared about them.

The loud solid clank as the tunnel door settled into position ripped through Dante, in a painful way he hadn't expected. Howls! He'd put his wolf heart and soul into building up Talbot Peak.

Spinning the locking mechanism, Dante sealed the door. He'd had the roomy tunnel constructed from the Pleasure Club to the library for two main reasons. First, for his beloved Kitty, so she could easily come to him without being detected—and so he could come to her. Over the past several years, their love and lust for each other had only grown. Beyond what he dared to imagine.

The second reason, should there ever be a catastrophic event where the town needed to be evacuated, everyone could have been moved to Bunkerville, the prepper-survival wing he'd built inside his Pleasure Club compound. Dante'd made certain his survival team stocked enough food and supplies to take care of every man, woman, and child for several years.

Now...

Now that was gone. Gone with wild sweep of the winds over Wolf Peak Territory.

And, now to keep everyone in his pack's territory safe, Dante sealed both of his tunnels into Talbot Peak. Earlier in the day, he'd shut off the other tunnel that opened beneath the highschool gymnasium. That had been the designated gathering point in an case of an emergency evacuation.

"Goodbye," Kitty teary-whispered. She stood behind him.

"Goodbye," Dante echoed. He spun to his Kitty.

His beautiful mate's face dripped with slow-rolling tears. Her gorgeous eyes were pools reflecting the devastating sadness that lived deep inside her.

As if to shield herself from more pain, his woman clutched an enormous, gold-lettered, leather-bound tome to her chest. Beside her was a large rolling cart where she'd stacked her personal collection of ancient manuscripts, and the last of her belongings.

During the week they'd moved her possessions out of the small house Kitty owned, where she'd lived ever since her family's arrival in Talbot Peak. Several years before his sire, Daemon, had taken over the small, off-the-beaten-path town, they'd fallen in love, become teenage lovers.

But because his werewolf sire ferociously, ruthlessly hated feline shifters, and Kitty's life had been in danger, Dante had roared out of the Peak on his Harley. He'd traveled the world, explored whatever fascinated him, and found other hidden shifter and supernatural communities. He'd befriended many, as they'd befriend him.

Now, he was leaving Talbot Peak again. The difference, his Kitty was beside him, his forever mate. That's all that mattered. That, and the Wolf Peak home he could provide to keep her safe from his sire, from the barbaric, cunning evils of the world.

Together, over the past years, they'd built a strong, prospering community of shapeshifters and supernatural types. Now... howls to Mother Moon... now, they would continue, move forward, along with those in his Inner Circle of Protectors—like White Fang, his right hand super-wolf man.

As Dante approached, his Kitty carefully placed the tome she'd discovered inside a Templar type of chest on the cart. "Yes, go ahead. Thank you." She gave a grateful nod to Kailla, her assistant.

The human woman had recently moved to Talbot Peak to work in the library. Given Kailla was being wooed by Thundercloud, a silver wolf-god, she'd decided to live at the Pleasure Club complex. Besides, Dante knew from Kitty that Kailla despised corrupt politicians, and believed strongly in free speech— in the right of creative free expression. That she wanted no part in the high-handed way Gilbert was currently running Talbot Peak.

Dante took Kitty in his arms, hugging her close. He felt her teardrops as their hearts joined, beating in sync. For long moments, they simply stood together, embracing each other—wrapped in each other, wrapped in that perfect and sacred union of male and female.

"We'll build a better town. We'll make certain everyone has a wonderful Christmas holiday." His Kitty spoke with spirited determination. Raising her head, she gazed at him, and Dante lost himself in the sparkling loveliness that were her eyes.

"No use crying over spilt milk...right?" his woman quipped. She trailed her fingertips along his cheek, and smiled a tiny brave smile.

"It's all about protecting our own right now... and celebrating the season, my beautiful kitten."

"Yes...it is," she softly replied. Her love for him shone in her eyes, as brightly as any Christmas star atop a tree.

Dante stroked his woman's hair. As usual, her inner glow transfixed him, and pleasurably leashed him.

"Lots of mistletoe decorating the Pleasure Club," he teased in a low tone—in the intimate voice he used only for her.

"Is that so, my big bad werewolf? I'll just have to drag you beneath the mistletoe..."

Kitty didn't get to finish. Wild with desire, Dante dipped his head and kissed her lush lips. For a very long time.

So, how about Moonrise Lake, Montana?

Christmas in the new town of Moonrise Lake, Montana ... home to shapeshifters of all types and stripes... and to supernaturals of every imaginable and unimaginable kind.

~~~~~~
Authoress news and mews ~
The Kougar would have provided a snippet from her WIP, WAITING FOR A FILLY GIRL... however, the current *close to the end* chapter would give too much away.
And yes, the Kougar is continuing to build her shapeshifter/supernatural world with  all of her characters, and their new town lair, Moon Lake, Montana... which is located close to a small lake, not far from the farm town Dante purchased... the somewhat hidden lake is close to a mountain range ... and, given the beautiful reflection of the moon, the wolf shifters love it, of course.
UH OH! ... a problem... the Kougar just searched *moon lake montana* ... and yes, there is a Moon Lake -- looks like a glacier lake in a mountainous region ... anyway, the pics are gorgeous... okay, it's not an actual town... but now, it looks as though the Kougar will have to create another name... sheesh, this Big Cat sure didn't think there was a Moon Lake, Montana... ~sighs~
So, how about Moonrise Lake, Montana? Yep, the Kougar thinks she'll go with that name for her fictional town. That is, unless inspiration strikes for another name.
Six Paragraphs From Chapter Forty-nine...
~~~Six Paragraphs From Chapter Forty-nine of My WIP, WAITING FOR A FILLY GIRL, a ShapeShifter Seduction Novel~~~

Keina's stomach churned, as if stirred with a giant spoon. Drev and the prince battled to topple each other. The two of them looked like a pair of living statues—except for Drev's shredded Earth garments and Tretorff's traditional, after-flight loincloth.

She watched their veins pop out. Their necks corded with the unrelenting strain of the struggle for dominance. Terrible and magnificent, their muscles bulged.

Yet, neither could move the other.

Goddess Equine, help him. Help my Drev.

Loving Drev with her whole heart, Keina sent her energy-force. She wrapped him with her purest love. Pray to the One, what else could she do? .

Absolute silence reigned in the courtyard. Only grunts and combative groans could be heard—sharp, guttural slaps of sound echoing off the encircling marble pillars.

~~~
Tagline: Ex super-soldier boy meets winged filly girl. Will they live happily ever after? In Wolf Peak territory anything is possible.
Ram Firefighters, the Burning of Licences
Merry Christmas and Happy Howlidays, shapeshifter lovers.
Discontent continues in Talbot Peak, interrupting holiday festivities. Here's the latest in the saga, starring Zerlo and his cousin, Dilesco.
Note: While this flash scene does not mention it, Zerlo and Dilesco are really looking forward to the holiday festivities taking place at the Interspecies Pleasure Club -- especially the swing-band celebration at the Midnight Stardust Supperclub.
~~~~~~

Ram Firefighters, the Burning of Licences

Zerlo, ram shapeshifter and voluntary firefighter in Talbot Peak, double-checked the wiring for the town's holiday lighting. Finished, he flipped his tools onto his electrician's belt, then gave a nod to his cousin, indicating all was good on his end.

Dilesco, also a voluntary firefighter, tested the long strings of lights that would be used to decorate the shop facades, and the town square's Christmas tree. "Lookin' good this year. No problems. At least, not so far."

The commotion across the way grabbed Zerlo's attention. "It ain't lookin' too good in front of the mayor's office, though. Folks have been protesting for the last several days. Asking questions the mayor won't answer."

"Heard Gilbert on that wack-a-mole morning show, tryin' to explain." Dilesco spoke as he put his tools away. "I'd say it's a tyranny of good intentions. If we didn't have our own family spread in the mountain range, I'd be putting my house up for sale."

"Lots of FOR SALE signs going up. From what I've seen. Heard the other day Dante bought a farm town and is fixin' it up for folks who want to move." Zerlo sauntered closer to the gathering crowd, Dilesco keeping pace.

"Can't say I'm surprised. The mayor's riled a lot of folks, and they got a good reason." Dilesco  snorted his aggravation at the situation. "Sure as heck, I was looking forward to a holly jolly Christmas, all the celebrations. Bringing our nieces and nephews into town. Now..."

Zerlo felt more than saw his cousin shake his head. His dark curly mane of hair, along with his beefcake physique, was the envy of many. Given their resemblance was strong, except for Zerlo's light brown locks, jealousy wasn't an issue between them. Besides, they'd grown up together, and always watched each other's backs— whether as rams, or while in human form.

"Yep, me too. The kids lookin' at the Christmas lights...can't beat it." Thinking about alternative fun for his nieces and nephews, Zerlo added, "Wonder if they're makin' plans at the Pleasure Club for the kids?"

"I know there was a Christmas Angel play my sis took her two to. I'd bet festivities are being planned. Hey, what are those pieces of paper everyone's waving?"

"Don't know. Let's find out. There's Kalindi. Let's ask her."

"I know one thing," Dilesco spoke as they crossed Main street, "that Norse goddess-angel hybrid won't tolerate any scat from the mayor."

"Gonna be a lot of sad kids if she moves her ice cream shop out of the Peak, though...Kalindi," Zerlo hailed as he quickened his pace.

The beauty turned to face them. "What's going on?" Zerlo asked.

"A group of us business owners are fed up. That's what." Lightning owned the depths of Kalindi's eyes. "We've been paying our fair share all this time. Now we've been sold out to the state regulators by Cracked Filbert Gilbert."

Obviously infuriated, Kalindi waved what Zerlo observed to be her business license. "Not only that all of our computer systems have been repeatedly compromised, and hacked by gov operatives. It's like Kitty explained. Dante doesn't have a large enough team to keep the town's cyber system protected."

"Hell unleashed, son, it's more than that," Keirnan O'Malley—a wolf shifter, and owner of O'Malley's Gin Joint—boomed in his quiet way, "Gilbert has exposed all of us to enemies determined to eliminate every shifter-supernatural one of us. In the entire world." Keirnan shook his head. "Don't know what got into that squirrel-man. But somethin's got him by the tail."

"Get a barrel," someone shouted. "Let's burn these licences."

"Right. Burn them. Let's back Mary Lou," someone else yelled. "She had the guts to tear up her license."

 "Hold on...hold on," Zerlo called out as he threaded his way to the front of the crowd. "If you're going to burn anything in a barrel, let me and my cousin handle it. We're trained, right?"

"Right," echoed slowly through crowd that was enlarging by the minute.

"Got the perfect barrel. Back of my place," Keirnan hollered. "Couple of you big guys, come with me."

"Okay, everyone," Dilesco raised his hands high, "get your licences ready, and anything else paper you want to burn. But let's make sure this stays peaceful."

"Peaceful but powerful," Kalindi shouted, the force of her being in her words.

"Yeah, we'll do it peaceful like," Stephanos, the wolf-lion hybrid who ran a custom motorcycle shop, thundered his voice over the crowd's shouts. "But I'm outta here, as of Saturday. Folks, Dante is helpin' a bunch of us move. Those of you who don't already know about this, if you want on this train, I'll make arrangements for you."

"One helluva Christmas present from the mayor," Ben, a bear shifter and a local farmer, grumbled loudly. "I promised the cubs we'd come into town for the tree lighting, for Santa... then, do some gift shopping. Now I've gotta break that promise."

"I know what you mean," many of those present spoke up, sympathizing with Ben.

As he watched the crowd at large, Zerlo observed Sozchy, the Love Wolfess, lean over and whisper in Ben's ear. He had to believe at this point that the wolfess shifter—who had her own popular 'love advice' radio show—told Ben about other holiday festivities for children.

Dilesco gave him an elbow jab to the ribs. "We'll have to talk to Sozchy later."

"Yep. Keep in her sight, will ya?"

"Better," Dilesco motioned to her, "Sozchy, can I speak with you a moment?"

While his cousin spoke privately with Sozchy, Zerlo supervised the placement of the barrel. Within minutes, he ignited the fire safely. As the blaze leaped hungrily, a humongous YAY! filled the wintry-cool air.

"Okay, everyone," Sozchy called out. "Why don't we all line up and burn these babies." She triumphantly held up her broadcasting license, waving it like a battle flag.

"Instead of a tree lighting, it's a license lighting!" Kalindi rebelliously yelled.

****

"Hey, where's my lunch trade?" Chewie, the NYC rat shifter and cook, emerged from his restaurant kitchen.

"Gone with the flames in the barrel, looks like," one of his regulars answered as he stared out the front window.

"What's with the poetic reference to "Gone With the Wind"?" Chewie followed his stomach to the window. Seeing two of the town's voluntary fireman standing on either side of a large steel barrel, he stopped dead in his tracks. A thin trail of smoke rose skyward as a group of townsfolk passed, one-by-one, in front of the firefighters. They dropped in pieces of paper from what he could observe. Afterward, many of them dusted their hands in a gesture of good riddance.

"Holy freakin' toledo, what's goin' on here?" Chewie thrust open the door. Ever since that spoiled-brat feline, Kitty, had spread her damn, fortune-reader flyers around town, he'd been persona non grata in many circles. More importantly, his clientele had decreased significantly.

"Are you burning your business license too?" Sozchy asked too sweetly. Not waiting for a reply, she smirked at Chewie as she passed by.

"Dante thinks he's gonna win this game, that know-it-all alpha don't know who he's messin' with...I got effing connections." Chewie nearly slammed the door closed.

"I dunno, Chewie. You already got an IRS audit happening," the regular whispered. "Lots of folks are leaving town. Hear tell, the know-it-all alpha has a new town waitin' for 'em. Means business will be down..."

"Yeah?" Chewie arched his brows mockingly. "Just means the more businesses move out of town, the less competition I got. Think I'm gonna make a call to the country fire marshal. They must be breakin' some regulation."

Chewie paused in his steps as the tall drink of water, with shoulders the size of the Montana sky, rose from one of the restaurant's back tables. Chewie knew the man had polished off two helpings of the lunch special.

"Mighty fine fare, Mr. Chewie. Let me introduce myself. I'm Sheriff Roy Lawrence Ramroth. I was just elected the next county over. Now, I don't believe you'll get much response from the fire marshal. My two nephews, Zerlo and Dilesco, are the firemen on either side of that burning barrel. Far as I understand it, no codes are being broken."

The Sheriff swept his Stetson on. "But you go ahead." Roy smiled in a friendly fashion. "I wouldn't want any citizen to be hampered in his reportin' of a non law-abiding citizen. Now you have a good day...Mr. Chewie. Money for the bill is on the table."
